Therefore it is a good idea to know before you set out what kind of wildlife you are likely to encounter during your hike. The animals that you are likely to encounter while hiking in the US will depend in large part on where you go hiking. The US is a large country with a great deal of diversity in terms of landscape and the animals that live in each area. If you are interested in seeing specific animals you are going to have to plan your trip accordingly to make sure that you are in the right area for that type of animal. There are few animals that you may encounter during your hike that may pose something of a threat. The most common is the bear. There are a lot of bears in parts of the US, particularly the west. There is a pretty good chance that you will see them during your hike. There is no need to be too worried about this however. In general the bear is only dangerous if they think that you are a threat. There are few basic safety precautions that you are going to want to follow and as long as you do you should not have any problem with bears during your hike.
