Eagle Eye is committed to product satisfaction and customer service. We offer a one year refund if you are not completely satisfied with your timing system purchase.

Eagle Eye software is controlled by a USB key and is fully refundable. The cost of the Pro Timing software will be refunded as long as the USB key is returned in like-new working condition. Third party software, such as Hy-TEK Meet Manager, and/ or equipment such Finished Results LED Displays is limited to the refund policy of the original software manufacturer.

Do You Offer an Entry Level Timing System

All of our timing system packages contain ALL the same great features. Our Single Camera system includes only one camera, thus it's intended to be used in Video timing mode. Video mode is the easiest method and involves just one camera.

What's the Difference Between Video and Line-Scan Timing

Eagle Eye Timing Systems utilize Dual Vision Technology.

This unique technology gives the Timing Operator the choice of timing in either Line-Scan or High-Speed Video Mode (with the same camera).

Line-Scan Timing
Line-Scan images are very thin static images that capture just Finish Line as athletes cross. These small images allow for very high frame rates. Line-Scan timing is most efficient when using a second front camera to assist with athlete identification (hip numbers). This is the same tech that other systems such as Lynx (TM) use.

Video Timing
Eagle Eye pioneered High-Speed Video timing, which captured full-frame video of the entire Finish-Line.

Because the video can be moved at difference speeds (even frame by frame) the Timing Operator can adjust the video to reveal obstructed hip numbers as needed.

Which is Right for Me
Timing in either Line-Scan or Video mode is a personal preference.

Eagle Eye's 2024 USB3 VISION Timing Systems yield 500+ fps in Video Mode and 6,000+fps in Line-Scan Mode. (note - track and field frames rates are best from 100-2,000 pfs).

Generally a one-camera video set up is a great starting point for new Timers. However many professional Timers prefer its simplicity.

Is Your Timing System F.A.T. & Rule Book Compliant

Yes. Obsoletely.

Governing Bodies
Eagle Eye Timing Systems meet NFHS, NCAA, USATF and WA Track and Field Rule Book requirements.

In fact, Eagle Eye played a role in helping the NCAA and WA (IAAF) draft modern Rule Book language to define modern video based timing technology.

Other sports and governing bodies may also have their own requirements, however the Eagle Eye specs meet all known specs from Athletics, Cycling, Boating, Horse Racing, etc.

Frame Rate
Rule Books often refer to frames per second and FAT.
Fully Automatic Timing (F.A.T.) is considered to meet or exceed 100fps. Eagle Eye's standard timing cameras have an adjustable range up to 6,000+fps.

Gun Report
Some Rule Books also reference the need for a Timing System to demonstrate a Gun Report of under 1/1000th of a second.

Eagle Eye's Zero Test Mode feature allows the Timing Operator to demonstrate such compliance - measuring the time from the gun firing to the first recorded frame. Performing a Zero Gun Test prior to a days competition is at times a requirement for some governing body championships and events.

Is Eagle Eye a Certified Timing System?
Track and field does not have a Timing System certification process. This includes the WA (formally known as the IAAF).

WA does require certification some equipment (implements, etc.) however does not have a certification process or requirement for Photo-Finish systems.

Instead WA requires Timing System (Photo-Finish) adhere to their Rule Book Requirements.

WA Exception
For International Championships between governing bodies, World Athletics does require certain Photo-Finish integration that Eagle Eye does not have (such as connecting to a Starting Block sensors). For this reason, Eagle Eye is not able to time events outside WA Rule 1.1.

For example, track (Athletics) athletes can qualify for the World Champions at events that use an Eagle Eye Timing System but Eagle Eye would not be able to time the World Championships for the WA Rule Book. In short, this requirement has literally no impact on Eagle Eye timing customers.
